يقف العالم على أعتاب ثورة کبرى، هي الثورة الصناعية الرابعة، وهي ثورة تختلف عما سبقها من ثورات في عمق تأثيراتها، ودرجة تشابکاتها وتعقيداتها وارتباطاتها بمختلف جوانب الحياة الإنسانية، فنظام التعليم الذي نشأ في أحضان الثورة الصناعية الأولى سوف يشهد تغيرات جذرية ليصبح أکثر استجابة للمستجدات المعرفية والتکنولوجية التي تفرضها الثورة الصناعية القادمة في سوق العمل، ليصبح أکثر قدرة على الإسهام في تحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية. فالتعليم سوف يسهم في تنمية معارف الأفراد العلمية والتکنولوجية، فيما يتعلق بتشکيلة واسعة من المهن التي تتطلب کفايات تقنية ومهنية ومهارات خاصة تمکن الأفراد من التفاعل مع کل تکنولوجيات الذکاء الاصطناعي، وکذلک تزويدهم بالمعارف والمهارات الکفيلة بجعلهم أکثر مرونة تجاه احتياجات أسواق العمل المحلية، وأکثر قدرة على المنافسة في إطار اقتصاد معرفي معولم، وأکثر قدرة على العيش والتواصل في عالم متغير متعدد الثقافات، وأکثر فاعلية في الإسهام في مناشط مجتمعه. Abstract The world stands on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution that differs from the major revolutions in-depth, effects, degree of its intertwining, complexities, and links to various aspects of human life. The education system that was established in the arms of the first industrial revolution will witness radical changes to become more responsive to the knowledge and technology developments imposed by the coming industrial revolution in the labor market. It also will be more capable of contributing to the achievement of economic and social development. Education will contribute to the development of individuals' scientific and technological knowledge regarding a wide variety of professions that require technical and professional competencies and special skills that enable individuals to interact with all artificial intelligence technologies, as well as provide them with the knowledge and skills to make them more resilient towards the needs of local labor markets, and more competitive. Within the framework of a globalized knowledge economy, individuals will be more able to live and communicate in a changing multicultural world, and more effective in contributing to the activities of its society
